Making a splash

While searching for mirrored backsplashes, I found this post on re-nest.

Trent Johnson from re-nest.com has this to say in his article:

"This glass mosaic back splash was photographed during a home tour of a condominium built in the early 60's in Palm Springs. This is not just any condominium however: it was "conceived as an experiment in modern living... and gained fame as the honeymoon home of Elvis and Priscilla Presley..."

I LOVE this mirrored backsplash, but... I think it looks a bit washed out. A dark contrast would set off this look, such as darker cabinetry or a dark countertop. Like this one with a dark counter top...
