Decoupage your Ceiling
I think ceilings are an important design element of a room that should not be overlooked. More and more designers are ditching traditional white ceilings in favor of more dramatic treatments such as painted surfaces, wood and tin treatments and now one of my new favorites...decoupage. Check out this DIY decoupage ceiling from Mr. Peacock. What a great way to add some fun and interest to your space. Have a decoupaged ceiling? Please send some pictures so that I can include it in my post.

Wood Tile
If wood floors are not in your budget then you might want to consider wood grain floor tiles. There are many benefits in utilizing tile that looks like wood such as long-term durability, it is easy to clean and it is a fraction of the cost of most fine woods. The biggest benefit of wood grain tile is that it can be used in wet areas such as bathrooms, kitchens and basements. A final consideration to make is whether to use porcelain or ceramic tile. Ceramic tile can be somewhat more susceptible to chipping as it is not as dense as porcelain. When choosing grout colors, try to match to the darkest color in the tile. But you can't beat the variety in color and "grain" options. Check out some of these options here.

Glam Baths
Recently I wrote about the master bedroom design I've been working on. Being that classic Hollywood Glam is my inspiration for this room I figure the outdated master bathroom really must be included in the design. Here are a few inspiration rooms I've been considering.

I've been seeing quatrefoils EVERYWHERE...so is quatrefoil the new black? Maybe so and I like it!
The quatrefoil is arguably one of the most timeless architectural symbols of all time with its popularity being used most often during the Gothic Revival and Renaissance periods. It also symbolizes good luck as the four-leaf clover popular to the Irish holiday St. Patrick's Day.
Here are a few to enjoy along with some good luck on St. Patrick's Day. Erin go bragh!
